Cornerstone Crafts: Lolly Stick Snowman
This cheerful snowman makes a cute bookmark. Children could make these as gifts.
You will need:
- a popsicle stick
- white paint
- black pen
- scraps of black and orange paper
- piece of thin ribbon, string, or felt
- glue
Paint the stick white and leave it to dry.
Use the black pen to draw on eyes, mouth, and buttons.
Cut out a hat out of black paper and a carrot nose from orange paper. Glue them on.
Finally, tie a piece of ribbon around the stick as a scarf and secure it in place with a small amount of glue. You may want to write the year on the back of the stick and encourage the child to sign his or her name.
Thanks for the craft activity village.

Trick or Treat…..
This year Oct.31 falls on a Saturday!
Younger children and their parents will have the opportunity to go “Trick or Treating” and be home before dark.
In order to make “Trick of Treating” in the downtown easier, the CFY has asked businesses to display the Pumpkin Picture in their window if they are handing out treats.
Have a Happy and Safe Hallowe’en!

Cornerstone Crafts: Balloon Spider
You will need:
- 1 small balloon
- 1 large balloon
- 4 pipe cleaners
- 1 permanent marker
Blow up both balloons and tie a knot in each.
Take the knot on both balloons and tie them together. The small balloon is the spider head. The larger balloon is the spider’s body.
Find the middle of one pipe cleaner and twist it around the balloon knots. Repeat this step with the second, third and fourth pipe cleaners. Then bend the pipe cleaners to look like spider legs.
With the help of an adult, draw a face onto the small balloon.
